Morten Løbner Espersen er uddannet fra École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués, Duperré, Paris, Frankrig 1990 og fra Danmarks Designskole, 1992. Fra 2014-17 er han medlem af Statens Kunstfonds Projektstøtteudvalg for kunsthåndværk og design.
