Installation

The purpose of this course is for students to understand the vast scope and short history of Installation Art. Through exercises and discussions as well as own work we will be establishing a framework and taxonomy towards investigating the different ways to understand this ambiguous and developing art form upon which students will explore, understand and master.
This course is structured by lectures on and discussions about Installation art, its brief history, thereby getting a vocabulary on the topic and working on expressing installation ideas as sketches as well as developing and physically making a project.

Niels Bonde er født i 1961 i Glostrup og uddannet i arkitektur fra Det Kgl. Danske Kunstakademi (1981-83) og som billedkunstner i perioden 1988-94 fra Det Kgl. Danske Kunstakademi. Herefter studier ved Städelschule, Institut für Neue Medien, Frankfurt am Main (1993-95).
