Når vi tegner og maler ser vi straks resultatet, men når vi laver grafik spiller processen en vigtig rolle.
I den grafiske proces går man på opdagelse.
Hver gang du tager fat i dine værktøjer og arbejder, opdager du noget nyt- og mange gange noget uventet.
Resultatet kender du først, når du har dit færdige tryk i hånden.
Vi kommer til at arbejde med mange teknikker som f.eks. hårdgrund, koldnål, aquatinte og monotype.
Under kurset vil vi tage fat på kunstnere som Goya, Arnulf Rainer og Peter Doig og finde inspiration i deres arbejder.
De traditionelle metoder er lette at gå til, og du behøver på ingen måde at have erfaring.
I den grafiske kunst er det altid vigtigt at eksperimentere.

When we draw and paint we see the result immediately, but when making prints, the process is less direct and technique plays a fundamental role in their creation.
In the process of making prints, you go on an adventure. Whenever you engage in printmaking, you will discover something new – often something completely unexpected. You will not know the result until you have completed the journey and taken the final print.
On this course you will work with monotype and etching using the techniques of dry point, hard ground, soft ground and aquatint.
During the course we will introduce you to artists such as Goya, Arnulf Rainer, Peter Doig and we will look for inspiration in their art.
The traditional methods of printmaking are easily accessible and experience is not required. When making prints the most important skill is to experiment and use your imagination.
